Wireless Printing on a Print Server

Configuration: iMac G5 20" running OS X 10.4.10; router Netgear DG834G; print server 3Com 3CRWPS10075; USB Printer Epson SP R300 (connected to print server). All network devices connected wirelessy.

Problem: accessing the print server web control panel and printing a test page the R300 prints regularly. The printer is seen on-line and idling. When requesting a print from application, I get only error messages as below:
"Printer busy- retry later" configuring a IPP printer using a GIMP driver
"Remote host did not accept data file (32)" configuring a LPD printer using a gimp driver
"Remote host did not accept data file (32)" configuring a LPD printer using a generic postscript printer driver.
In the print server web control panel the printer is seen always idling, also when printing the test page.
I did not try using appletalk because was n ot able to configure it (instructions on manual and actual screens are different).

I am not an expert of networking and network configuration, but followed all instructions of the print server manual (things look always easy in manuals) but had no result.

Can some one help?

Thank you.

I can only say that once hooking up my hp to the old AEBS's USB Printer Sharing, that everytime the AEBS is reset/unplugged/plugged, the hp USB must be unplugged & re-plugged on the USB, then generally has to be deleted in Printer Setup Utility, then added again!

Not the same problem, but perhaps gleaning enough you can go along the same lines.

OSX is stupid sometimes! 😟
