I have had this problem with only certain songs in an album and whole albums.
The problem in my case was that my Windows Vista user account was a "Computer User" and not a "Computer Administrator".
I have to log out of my normal user account, then log back in with an Administrator account. (iTunes is configured the same in both accounts). I download my songs successfully every time to my normal music directory. Then I log out and back in with my normal account. Then I launch iTunes, and select File, Import to get them into my normal account list.
*Emily, the problem is that you are using a computer with parental controls set for all users logging into that computer which restricts downloading of explicit material. Have you noticed that you cannot download these types of songs? Songs of sexual nature may also be blocked. I suggest you ask the computer's administrator to take off the parental controls. All you have them do is go under that person's login account under explorer if that is your web browser, click on "tools", "internet options", and then the "contents" tab to disable this. This will fix the problem. Good luck.*
Bill, the reason why the administrator is able to download all songs is that the administrator has sole control of the content that is dowloaded on the computer and all of it's accounts as well as who can access what over the internet. Read my message to Emily; this should fix all of your problems.
Interesting! Thanks, that is the primary reason I even have a non-Administrator account is for the parental controls. I will try this and let you know next time.
error-450 is really getting on my nerves.First it did not let me buy certain songs, now I can't even go on iTunes store anymore!!!CURSE YOU ERROR-450!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am also getting error 450 but the song i am downloading does not have the red explicit sign next to it... and i just tried to download an explicit song and it worked but and so do other non explicit songs. it just seems to be this one
I also am getting this error sign come up when i try to download podcasts. I have been told that it is due to Windows Vista, and the parental controls. This is incorect as far as I can see. It blocks podcasts such as Braniac and Roadwars. These dont contain 'adult' material. But the Russell Brand podcast, which warns at the begining 'this podcast contains adult material' is allowed. So as far as i can work out it is not due to Controls on my account. I first thought it was because it was due to the fact that I didnt have the latest version of iTunes on my laptop but have just updated it and it stil flags up this error message.
Anybody who has any ideas about this problem, would you plaes let me know becaue it is very frustrating
