I was just about to get Adobe Premiere Pro on my G5, when I got an error message saying 'Support for CPU extension SSE2.' This error makes more sense in Windows, but it's basically saying I need an Intel chip? My question is where and how is the best place to get and to replace the PowerPC chip with an Intel Core 2 chip?
NOTE: I am not getting another computer, period. I just spent all of my money on the Production Creative Suite and I have no job to replenish it right now.
*Adobe Premier CS3 is a Windows application.*
And also a Mac application as noted in the link you poasted.
"Multicore Intel® processor (Adobe® OnLocation™ CS3 is a Windows application that may be used on Macintosh using Boot Camp and Windows, sold separately)
Mac OS X v.10.4.9"
OnLocation is Windows only but Premiere is also Mac OS.
This post is about Adobe
Premier, not Adobe
OnLocation.
Two different programs.
Premiere requires
"Multicore Intel® processor
Mac OS X v.10.4.9"
Adobe Premier CS3 is a Mac application which works on Mac OS and requires an Intel chip running Mac OS X..
Adobe OnLocation is a Windows only application and requires BootCamp & Windows.
But yes, as OS9 got left in the dust, so do apps for Mac OS X for PPC.
