iPod Touch - Sleep/Wake Button Issues

It seems I have the same problem as the poster in this thread ( http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5475024&#5475024). I'm gutted as I have only managed a month with the product before it failed. Unfortunately I can't take it back to the store because I bought it on Apple Store UK.

What are my options for being without my iPod for the shortest length of time?

iPod Touch, Mac OS X (10.4.8)

You will just have to return it just like the guy in that post.

Do you know if it can be returned to a physical store. I bought mine from Apple.com/uk/store/

You should be able to take it to a physical Apple store. They may be able to fix it and if not I'm sure they'd exchange it as long as you had all your purchase info.
