I had to restore my computer and re-download itunes. Now when I try to open itunes a box appears that says itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are sorry for the inconvenience. I don't know what to do. I uninstalled and even installed later versions and I still get the same thing. Please help!
You're not the only one, this problem sprung when i had iTunes 7.2 and I tried to install a new iPod update, iTunes craashed with a similar error message, after updating iTunes to 7.5, it won't even run. Is this a problem with Windows Vista?
my problem doesn't lie in QuickTime, but in iTunes. It won't run for the same reason that iTunes 7.2 wouldn't update my iPod, refering to a file called RICHED20.dll
Ok I found that for some reason quicktime was not installing at all with itunes so I had to install it separately and now it works fine..... do you by any chance know how I can get my music back on there without having to copy all of my cds again?
the message box error looks like a generic Windows Vista program crash error:
iTunes has stopped working
Windows can check online for a sloution to the problem
->Check online for solution and close program
->Close Program

I just installed iTunes after it not installing for the longest time. When I tried to run the program, though, it "encountered a problem . . . " etc. etc. I looked to see the file causing the problem and it said "Unknown." What do you guys suggest?
