iPhone Speaker Not Loud Enough

When using the speakerphone, it is not loud enough to really hear. Also, the ringtones are not loud enough. Is it my hearing, or is this a problem with the phone. And yes, the volume is on high.

I had the same problem until I realised it was the way I was holding it!!! If my finger so much as covers the speaker (which it occasionally does) then it blocks out the sound.

It's taking me some time to adapt the way I hold my iPhone, as I usually tend to balance it on my small finger while using my other fingers and thumbs to clasp it. As a result, my little finger inevitably blocks the speaker, and therefore the sound.

Failing that, you probably have a faulty speaker and I would take your phone back for a replacement.
