Excel Print Preview and printing problems

After upgrading to Leopard, I get a blank page (same when I print) and MS Excel spreadsheet. Anyone else have this issue and what is the solution? Microsoft web site indicates an issue but there updates this month didn't do anything (same results).

Thanks for any help,

Marty

For what it is worth, we have found that the print preview will will be balnk with certain Epson printers when using the Gutenprint drivers. It was traced to the PPD containing printer resolutions greater than 1440 dpi.

When you do a print preview, move your cursor into the preview field. If it turns into a magnifying glass, you should be able to just click in the preview field and the preview will appear.

I selected a different printer in the Print Dialog and then printed to pdf. The preview window suddenly updated and it generated a successful pdf printout. A second print to the Magicolor 2350 laser was fine.

Yow that was scary! Excel is one of my major applications and this was the first time I had tried to print since installing Leopard.

Thanks for the advice here. I've had the same problem using Excel to print to a Brother MFC-440CN printer. Used the workaround described above, but also selected 'Options' in Page Setup and then selected 'Format for Brother MFC-440CN'. Changed the print resolution to 600 dpi and was then able to preview & print. However, the document had to be reformatted to print in landscape, not portrait. Glad to hear that MS are working on a fix as this could be a real pain if it continues too long!

Thanks I had gone into the store no problem there it is definitely something with the printer, I have a Brothers MFC-640CW. I Clicked the Print preview and excel docs showed up blank unable to print. With Print Preview Up I selected "Setup" Then in the bottom left I adjusted print quality to anything between 300 and 2400 dpi and the preview showed up and printed fine. I have to do it for every sheet though I would love to know if I can make 600 dpi a default.
