Digital Picture Frames

Hi, all. I'm not exactly sure where to post this question, but those who use iPhoto are sure to know! I want to get my wife a digital photo frame, and most of the reviews recommend the Philips model (7FF1CMI/37). How compatible is this with the iMac? I intend to dump photos on a compact flash card and plug it into the frame, but I want a frame that won't crash with the Mac. Any comments? Thanks a million!

My dad uses the 9" version of the Philips Digital Photo Frame (9FF2M4) with his MacBook Pro and iPhoto without any crashes. The photo frame has some memory built in, but the best way to load photos is with an external USB memory card reader and memory cards (compact flash, secure digital).

When I researched these frames the Philips had the best LCD screen / viewing angles of all of the "affordable" brands out there.

Check Philips support page for firmware updates on their photo frames; Easiest way is to search by model number (7FF1CMI/37)

Too bad Apple doesn't make a wireless digital photo frame which automatically syncs with iPhoto...

It is the season, so I thought I'd bump this one up. The CEO and his family of the company I work for are all Mac/iPhoto users. Last Christmas he bought a Phillips Frame - I do not recall the model at the moment and we had one heck of a time getting it to work properly. To be honest I don't have an Apple myself at this time and don't have the time to Play with his. So in the end, I ended up using a memory stick to copy the images to a PC and then to the Frame. I have seen many posts about how everyone is getting these frames to work no problem. Could someone maybe post a tutorial on how they are taking images from iPhoto and putting them on a frame? These people are total novices when it comes to computers. The problem I see is iPhoto keeps dumping 4 or 5 extra files every time including thumbs and it seems to confuse the frames. Using an SD card to change out photos at will would be ideal.
