iPhone and Airport Security Checkpoint?

I'm going on a trip this saturday and was wondering if the airport security checkpoint will mess with my iPhone?

When it is going through the XRay machine will anything get messed up?

Let me know if you have had any problems or know if it will be OK!

THANKS 🙂

No problems here either... just returned from Hawaii and I didn't turn off my phone when it went through security checks. Probably will do that in the future though 🙂 Used airplane mode during the 9 hour flight and watched Easy Rider and listened to music for most of the trip (which total was about 14 hours)... battery was still at half when I got to my destination. Turn off bluetooth, wifi, and turn on airplane mode made the battery last quit a long time. If traveling overseas turn off that roaming feature or check with ATT closely about your plan. Good luck and enjoy your travels.

KaitlynMarie,

Unless something is seriously wrong with the machine it should not mess with your iPhone. The only precaution I have taken was turning it completely off before putting it through the scanner, and then powering it on when requested.

While in flight you should turn on Airplane mode to comply with FCC and FAA regulations.

Hope this helps,

Nathan C.

EDIT:
This article explains more about Airplane mode:
