Tascam 1082

Question

Tascam 1082

Hello.

I just purchased a second hand Tascam 1082, and am very happy with it. However, I cant seem to find an answer in any manual or here on the forums.
When I save a project and then re-open it at a later time, all the faders reset to 0 along with the faders in Logic (rather frustrating as I have to go through my project and set the volumes on each track again)

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Dude, im wondering how you got it to work on 10.5, my iMac won't recognize it as a audio device. Where did you find the new drivers?

Hi Ciryon,

i'm not sure if i should update my system to 10.5 Leopard.
I#m running Logic Pro 8 on a newest Mac mini with the Tascam FW 1082.

Did you have in the meanwhile any sucess with the Tascam?

Ive solved my problem:

Under Logic preferences, Ive set the "Startup Action to "Do nothing". Once Logic has launched, I open the project from the "File menu"

-Dean: Something I discovered by accident; There are 2 firewire ports on the back of the mixer, I notice that if I have it plugged into port '1', my macbook wont see it, but if i plug it into "2", it will. Im using the current drivers form Tascam and the "downgrade" fw driver from tascam as well under 10.5.1
