Case vs No Case?

I carry my iphone in my pocket 99% of the time. I also have a screen protector on it. What's the opinion on cases here? Do you use one? Not use one? Why?

I use the Marware Sidewinder.

The iPhone looks (and feels) SO much better without a case - but having it on my belt is what I'm used to.

The Sidewinder just feels more 'solid,' and holds the iPhone in place fantastically.

The glass screen of the iPhone is FAR better than any any plastic screen on any other phone I've had (8 in the last 6 years) so after I had a screen protector on it for the first month or so - I took it off.

I carry my iPhone in my pocket as well. I don't like to keep them on my hip because I bang them around at work. I ordered this simple case to put it in while its in my pocket so it won't get damaged while carrying it around. I am still waiting for it in the mail but it seems perfect for what I (and presumably) you do.

I use the Belkin Elan Snap-In Holster. I just could not bring myself to covering up the beauty of the iPhone, but at the same time I need a case, because I don't like to carry anything in my pockets. The case works PERFECT, no slip, slide and will NOT fall out, believe me, I tried everything when I got it to see if it would hold up, It DOES!

So, if you want a belt style holster and do not want to hide the beauty in the iPhone, give Belkin a go!

I used to use a case when I first got the phone. It seemed fraigle for some reason. However after several months I have found that this thing is built like a tank. The glass screen is great and it really takes some effort to scratch it, I ditched the screen protectors. I also didn't like the bulk cases added and they took away from the iphones overall appeal of its size and looks. I always kept my ipod in a case because it scratched from dust particles really. The brushed aluminum back of the iphone is also pretty scratch resistant and mine has no marks. The only area with any marks is the silver bevel around the screen. I haven't used a case in a while now and the 3 that I have just sit collecting dust.

edit - the iphone is in my front pocket about 99% of the time. The only real concern I have is dust build up in the ports but it blows out pretty easy with a can of compressed CO2 for office cleaning.

I love the look and feel of the iPhone with no case. However, who wants to take a chance with a $600 phone? So, when I received my $100 credit I bought the Speck black rubber case at the Apple store.

The rubber is sticky going in and out of my pocket, but it requires no holder in the car since it sticks to my console so well. I take it out every couple of weeks, wipe it down and wash the case with soap and water. It hasn't stretched at all. I would recommend it.

This case came with a holster, but since I am not a Star Trek fan and because I like women to talk to me I don't use it.

The other options appear to be either expensive and ill-fitting leather or else slick plastic. Rubber will have to do for now.

No case. Some of the pants I wear to the office have a "sleeve" in the left front pocket. You think they made it just for the iPhone because it fits so well. (I think change or key go in there so they don't rattle in your pocket; this sleeve is large enough that change does rattle but it's perfect for the iPhone.)

Might get a screen protector. The Apple Store was pushing add-ons, including cases and screen protectors pretty hard when I got it.

I'm on the fence right now. I just got my iphone the other day. I've never had a phone case, and I haven't seen any I like too much yet... I typically keep my phones in my front pockets anyways.... But i guess maybe a rubberized or leather case would be nice a grippier-hold??? This thing is slick, especially when browsing the web!

Oh, to be natural, or to be covered... that is the question!
