QUICKEN 2007 R2 QUICK ENTRY WIDGET DOES NOT WORK IN LEOPARD

The core Quicken 2007 R2 program works fine under Leopard (10.5.1 and earlier) but the Quick Entry widget feature does not work at all. In fact, the last time I tried it it crashed Dashboard.

Intuit claims that Quicken 2007 is compatible with Leopard but, at least for me, the Quick Entry widget feature does not work. I have contacted Intuit Customer Care about this but all they do is tell me to do about 8 different things including re-installing the program. I have taken the time to do all of what they recommend but the Quick Entry feature still does not work with Leopard so I have just discontinued using it.

You can try a couple of things, including:

- Check for error messages using the console application
- Create a new user account and try things there
- "Repair Disk Permissions" using Disk Utility

Thanks for the suggestion! I have found that a single Quick Entry widget will work. Multiple copies of the Quick Entry widget will not. I tried repair disk permissions and I also tried a new user account in Quicken... It did not resolve the problem with multiple widgets. I need to learn more about the console application.

"Repair Disk Permission" combined with limiting to one account worked. Thank you for the tip. That's my favorite widget, and I was not happy when trying to use it with my new Leopard install was a bomb. THANKS!
