Every site that shows flash video says I need to install Flash 9 to view it. I installed it and it doesn't work. I had this problem when Safari 3 was in beta and just uninstalled it and used Safari 2 with no trouble. Anybody got a fix for this?
Same here: I did an uninstall of flash, then I reinstalled it. It worked fine until i quit Safari. The next time I started Safari, it wouldn't display flash-content, showing the missing-plug-in-icon instead.
Have been having the same problem - whenever flash player is needed, a Q with ? appears. Tried what you did. Today after installing the new system update, problem still existed. Again I uninstalled and then installed the Flash Player 9 update. Nothing changed. still get that Q? window whenever flash player is needed. VERY FRUSTRATING.
Fixed it! I deleted all references to Flash in the Internet Plugins folder in the Library. Then I reinstalled Flash. Resolved. I closed Safari and reopened and it works.
I took a chance and installed Flash Player 8 instead of version 9 - and quess what? Everything works fine now! Isn't that strange? Something's not keeping up with the Joneses.
I am having the same problem on both Safari and FireFox. After the 10.4.11 upgrade, I think it was still working on my Firefox, but then I came across a site that asked me to upgrade of Flash 9. So I downloaded Flash from Adobe, the installation went through without errors, but now both browsers have no flash.
This is very annoying. Not sure what to do fix this.
