"Ships within 24 hours."

So if I was to purchase an iPod Touch from the Apple store within the next few hours, does this mean it should get here tomorrow? Or, possibly, Monday at the latest?

Or does that mean it ships within 24 hours AFTER they process the order-- meaning it could take a week to process, and then 24 hours after that week to get to my house?

It usually means that it will go to the carrier within 24 hours, but that doesn't always happen. Plus there's the shipping time. So it won't arrive tomorrow, and probably will not arrive Monday. If you really need it soon, you might instead want to consider buying from Amazon or one of the other vendors that has expedited shipping options. Amazon says they have both the 8GB and 16GB in stock and can deliver by Monday if you order in the next few hours and choose one-day shipping.

If you order it today, most likely it will be shipped out of the factory on Monday and on it's way to your location. Since they don't ship things out on the weekend. Keep in mind that most factory is in China so they make them there. Once you ordered your product and the process has been cleared, yes they will ship them out, but it depends on when it was ordered. Normally the shipping can take about 1 week or less, depending on what service you chose to get to your location.
