Usually those types of numbers indicate a service, perhaps something somebody with the number before signed up for.

I would recommend contacting AT&T and informing them you appear to be getting text messages intended for whoever had the number before you.

aka if you go to the att.com website and pay .99 you can send anyone a text message from the website with out a phone

i am starting to get texts from the same number.... about 4 times a day....i guess i will be billed for those too...any way to block this number??? never had the problem ubtil i switched ti iphone......had the blackjack before

I just started getting the same cryptic SMS messages on my iPhone at 3:18 AM this morning. I've received two since then (it is now 8:00AM). Keeping them in case I can discover a pattern.

did you have express email with the blackjack? i also had the blackjack before the iphone and are receiving this weird text as well. I used to get the email pushed to my blackjack shortly after it was received, and then i was sitting at my laptop and got an email, then shortly thereafter received the weird text. I think its the push client trying to send an email that isn't compatible with the iphone.

If this is so, turn off the Xpress mail professional and then that should stop the text...

I've been getting text messages from that number for about a year since I had my treo. Since then I've had a blackjack and then an iPhone and with all three phones I get it since I have same number. My problem with it is it sends me the Texas lottery numbers twice a week and I live in Ohio. I want to know how to take it off if someone can tell me how.

Just send STOP to that number it should cancel the subcription, worked on mine
