does this for an assortment of apps for instance, chess. I'll play chess for 5 minutes and the fan goes really loud. I check cpu usage and it's at 98%. same for finale notebook, and other apps. this doesn't seem right. whats the problem. I have a second generation macbook pro
all processes are intel... there is a giant list, but most are inactive. I always know what program is eating up my cpu but I don't understand why. I can't believe chess or finale notepad could possibly be that cpu intensive.. what gives?
I can't speak for Finale Notepad, but as for chess... well, companies like IBM build supercomputers like Deep Blue in order to calculate enough chess positions to match a human player. And I dare say Deep Blue has a bit more brute force processing power than your MacBook Pro. 🙂
