"mhtml" format or .mht extension

"mhtml" format or .mht extension

Recently I was e-mailed (from an IE 7 user, I think) what he said was a web page copy in mhtml format, with an extension of .mht. All new to me.

Safari didn't know what to do with it. Any suggestions?

iMac Dual Core Desktop, Mac OS X (10.5.1)

I am not surprised that Safari choked on it - I would too! Note that it is a PROPOSED standard - just like Microsoft to try to convolute the world of computing.

I have been posting here for years.....I enjoy helping people get the best from heir Macs. After "hitting" Level 4, the points do not matter so much - although it is a nice way of thanking people who volunteer their time.

For info, Opera will display .mht files correctly.
