Driver For Panasonic PV-GS 150

Hello, I was hoping someone might know where I can get the driver for my camcorder to work on my Mac. It's a Panasonic PV-GS150. Any help on where to go to get what I need would be great.

Thanks!

Hi

When I bought my Panasonic camera I didn't need to get drivers to run it on the Mac. All you need is a 4 - 6 pin firewire cable (no, it doesn't come with the camera!)It might be a good idea to take your camera with you when you buy it just to make sure you get the correct one.

Attach the small end to the DV outlet on your camera and the other end to a firewire port on your computer.

Open iMovie -> New Project -> Turn your camera on to video playback and yopu should then get an Install option on iMovie. Rewind your footage if necessary, then download.

Hope this helps, come back if you have more questions.

G'day
It appears that the Panasonic PV-GS150 doesn't have firewire which means that you will have to convert your video file to .dv before it will import to imovie. Try using mpeg streamclip (free) and apple's mpeg2 playback (inexpensive). Open your video in mpeg streamclip and then save it as a .dv file and then import the file into imovie. Buying imovie6 compatible camcorders is a real trap for new players as most don't have firewire which is an essential for direct capture by imovie.
