HOW DOES THIS WORK

Before I pull out my hair, I am going to try to seek some help from my fellow Mac lovers. I am trying to figure out this GarageBand application. I don't have any instruments (other than my trusty trombone), so other than a microphone for the vocals and live instruments, is there away to put music into the system without the use of a keyboard or MIDI devices?

MacBook (black), Mac OS X (10.4.11)

You can use loops, and you can "hand paint" the notes in the editor for software instruments or use the onscreen keyboard or your computer keyboard to play notes (calles "musical typing"). Look at the many "Getting Started" tutorials that GB provides (under the Help menu), and we'll be happy to help you with specific questions!

if you dont want to go through reading all the guides and all then heres the way you use it. In tbe bottom left conner of the screen there are 3 little buttons that let you look at the different loops that there are (I find the middle one easiest to use). you can click on the differnt types of loops there are and choose it. once you find a beat you like (just click on them) then all you have to do is drag it on the bar lines. to remove an instrument all yo have to do is click the instrament and then go to track then click delete track. this took me forever to figure out at first and i felt the same way trust me.
