I can't delete color profiles

I've calibrated my 20" iMac with a GretagMacBeth Eye-One Display 1 using Eye-One Match software. Everything works well. When I calibrated my iMac for a second time I wanted to delete the old color profile so I don't end up with a bunch of profiles in the list. When I go to System Preferences->Display->Color I see all the profiles, including the old one that is no longer being used, but the "Delete Profile" button on the right is greyed out. How can I delete old profiles?

iMac 20" 2.4 GHz, Mac OS X (10.5)

Hello,

I can't delete the Apple-supplied profiles but I can remove ones that I've created.

You should find the profiles in either:

  • Macintosh HD > Library > ColorSync > Profiles > Displays >
  • Macintosh HD > Users > {yourname} > Library > ColorSync > Profiles > .

Move them out of those folders to the desktop and please check that everything is working well before trashing them.

cheers
