Does my MacBook Superdrive have LightScribe?

How can I tell whether or not my MacBook's dual layer superdrive has LightScribe or not? I've downloaded the Host software, but one labeling software says the drive isn't turned on, another says the drive doesn't exist. I even plugged in my Lacie external burner (which I've had for about...4 years, and that didn't work. Any ideas or suggestions?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5)

u don't have lightscribe hardware

No Mac hardware ships with a LightScribe drive. LightScribe is a proprietary hardware/software that Apple does not pay to license.

No. You can purchase an external CD/DVD burner with lightscribe to work with your macbook though.

I'm probably going to be buying a new external dvd writer for my macbook and I'm thinking of getting a LaCie External Firewire DVD-Writer and it has lightscribe.
