reset folder views from tiger

Hi,
Does anyone know how to automatically set the size of icons and the layout of items in finder on leoaprd. I have some folders that i created in tiger, when i browse to them they seem to remember the settings that i had in tiger(tiny icons...dotn kno why) and i want to set the view to my current preference of larger icons.

i did try deleting the .DS_Store files(using windows xp).. but it didnt help.
