resizing images

The images I already put into a Keynote presentation had large dimensions, and I would like to make them smaller. I know I can resize an image, and then drag it onto Keynote, however in some cases I don't have the original image... only the one already on Keynote. If I drag it off Keynote onto the desktop to resize it, when I try to open it in Photoshop, so I can resize it, I get the message, " Could not open "Picutre clipping.pictClipping" because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered.
Is there any way I can resize pictures that are already on Keynote, if I can't find the original picture?
Thanks.
It is Keynote v 3.0.2

If you have Photoshop, you should be able to copy the image in Keynote, then go to Photoshop and create a new document -- the default size and resolution of the new document will be the size of the original image. Once the blank new document is created, simply paste into it, and you will see the original image. You can now edit its size and resolution all you like, and save the altered image.
