Need to burn a 90 min CD - is my burner compatible to burn one ?

2002 G4 Quicksilver with a PIONEER Superdrive. Would it burn a 90 min CD ? Manufacturers warn to check lists of compatible burners. Couldn't find my player on the list. Also don't know where to look up the exact model of the burner.
Thanks for any info.

You don't say what you are going to burn to the CD and from what source. From iTunes of the Finder - mp3's, audio CD?

Anyhow go to iTunes prefs>Advanced>Burning and your burner if supported will be listed. You can also go to the Menu>About This Mac>More Info>Disk Burning - that will show you the details of your burner. As for the 90 minutes - you can burn until the CD is full. If it is mp3 then figure 1 meg/minute at a 128 kbps rate. An audio CD will be 10 meg/minute.

Mike,
thanks a lot for your response. I want to burn the CD from iTunes, sorry. Just got into a webside with the 90 min blanks and there is just a lot of warnings. In iTunes preferences, there is nothing about a 90 minutes setting. If you check those links, they say to be really cautious, since the burner must be set up to recognize the more on space on the CD. But you gave me another idea..do you think, maybe Toast would be able to do it ?..yeah.. well..again..there is just the same burner.., (PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-104)
