Under Tiger choosing an event in a calendar darkened the colour of the event and brought the whole calendar forward in a darker (and more readable) colour. Now only the event itself that is selected is highlighted. Is this what others expereince? If so, it is a serious problem as it means that properly to see my whole week of events I have to shut down other calandars because colours are so faint that they obscure each other. Any way of changing this?
Totally agree with this post. Only having the selected event come to the forefront, not the whole calendar is a huge downgrade is functionality. Like the Menu bar, this is taking transparency too far. I guess all we can do is voice our opinion:
i would love for this to be fixed as well. everything is way too transparent, even when selected. the old ical would make all appointments in the selected calendar opaque, which was great.
I agree that the new default "faded" colored events are not as visually user friendly. I have been searching for a way to go back to the more pleasing vibrant colors of the earlier version of iCal. Even though we're given the option to choose colors for calendars and events, the "other" option does not work.
