Idle Connection Settings Not Taking Effect
What's up everyone.
This is my first post on the Apple Discussion Boards and it's about my Airport Extreme N. When I had my previous AEBS G and I configured my Sympatico PPPoE connection to disconnect if idle for 30 minutes and reconnect automatically if needed, it would do so.
Since I picked up the new AEBS, it's been working great. No dropped connections, signal strength is all good, connection to my USB laser printer is stable. The only thing I notice is that if I configure my PPPoE connection to disconnect if idle for 30 minutes, it will not do it.
I came home tonite to check my email and next to the Airport icon, I see that my connection has been on for 1d 11h 35m. The funny thing is that no one has been on the Net with either of my two Macs since Saturday.
If anyone has an idea or suggestion, I would appreciate if you could send them my way. I'll be reading through the forums to see if this has been addressed before.
Thanks and take care.
