Sena Ultraslim Pouch - genuine?

I bought a Sena Ultraslim Pouch in black leather from a US seller on Ebay. It came in what looks like the proper packaging (Sena Box and a red cotton bag with the Sena logo).

However, it is really poor quality. The leather is thinner than it looks on the Sena website and smooth / shiny and hard (rather than textured and soft - I can't see this as an option on the site) and the stitching is really uneven. The two pieces of leather are also folded over into a hard seam inside the case that looks like it could scratch the sides of the phone. It does smell like real leather though.

In addition it is really tight - actually a struggle to get the iphone in or out of it to the point where I was worried it was going to damage it. Have tried it a few times and it doesn't seem to have loosened up.

Anyway - my question is have I been ripped off with a fake case or do these cases just generally suck? It certainly isn't the quality I was expecting having looked at various user reviews before I ordered it.

I think that you might have been ripped off. I bought a genuine Sena and it's not a bit like you described it. The finish is a textured look and feel, the leather is supple and soft. The stitching you cannot see as the edge is folded in and the stitching in-side. The fit is perfect and easy, if I hold the case upside down the iPhone easily comes out by itself.
