'Non-system disk' after cancelling boot camp- please help

I started installing Windows XP with boot camp assistant on Leopard. I decided to stop after a few setup windows, and cancelled out of the installation process. After restarting I was then confronted with a black screen reading "Non-system disk Press any key to reboot" However, pressing any key does nothing. I ejected the Windows XP dvd and rebooted with the Leopard install disk, but the same screen keeps reapearing. Someone please help!! I do have a backup on Time Machine on an external, but I need to be able to start up in Leopard first, right?

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.5.1), 1st gen. Macbook, 1 gig ram

Hold down the Option key when you restart the computer. You should then be able to select the startup partition (OS X or BootCamp). Obviously, choose OS X.
