Cover flow, album order wrong!

When I flick through my cover flow, most fo teh albums are in the correct order.

However, some are not. Example, all my AC/DC albums are in the right place, apart from one which is found right at the 'back', behind the x y and z's.

This is the case for a number of albums, which are all at the 'back'.

They are all in the correct order/place in my iTunes.

Anyone know why they are being sorted incorrectly?

I have the same problem. Some albums in the cover flow appear at the back. These are also missing fron the artist list if they are the only album you have of that artist. I bought 3 ipod nanos 3G for the family. My one is the only one to have this problem. Mine is also the only one to have an update through i-tunes. The problem only occurred after the update. I suspect that the upgrade has a bug!

The cover flow feature does not sort by album rather by artist. If you have let's say a soundtrack or an album with many different artists, when clicking compilation for each song, coverflow will put that album in the back usually under "various artists."

If you are getting multiple cover art in cover flow, highlight all those songs in the album, get info and type in the artist. Re-sync. Should do the trick.

If an album appears twice then usually the info is not typed exactly the same as the previous..
Meaning if you have an extra space or if there is a missed capital on the title then the song will have its own artwork.. best thing to do is to copy the album name and artist from one then copy to the other that is on its own.
After that has been applied then all the songs will be under the one cover art album

I had this issue but managed to sort it...

Cover Flow was putting albums to the "back" of the list. All of the albums that were being put at the back were being classed by iTunes as compilations.

Even if the album is not in reality a compilation it will be listed as such by iTunes if it has any tracks with "artist 1 Feat. artist 2".
e.g.
Sting's album "Sacred Love" has a track with "Sting Feat. Mary J. Blige"
This meant iTunes classed the album as a compilation... (even if you change the artist details to remove the "Feat. artist" iTunes still classes it as a compilation... very frustrating!)

_To resolve the issue_

You will need to do this for each album individually (i.e. each album that is being sent to the back of the list) and it needs to be done in the main music library NOT in the playlists that you are syncing...

Highlight the album (all the tracks on that one album)
Go to "get info" (under "File" for any newbies :))
Select "NO" in the "compilations" box.

This should solve the problem 😀
