contact with country code do not appear the name of the caller

hi every one,
i really need ur help on these.
i live in saudi arabia and all my contacts number in have on my iphone are similar to this: +966 and then the mobile number now the issue is when someone calls me i see only the number on the screen and not the caller name or id??
is this normal knowing that i travel a lot and i dont want to put coutry code each time i call someone. after several trial i notice that the caller name appear only when i put only the local mobile number ex <edited by host> and not <edited by host>

need ur help on this

yes me too same problem...but the iphone does not understand that its the same number..not like other phone..so we have to tell them to add this feature so we dont have to always put 00 or +..coz i saved a number like this 0096 but when i got a call from the number, the name didnt show up bc i didnt put +

Since the iPhone has not been released in S.A. or Thailand you will not be getting support from Apple on the issue.

Um, since the iPhone is from an American company I don't think we'll be getting support for this issue no matter which country complains about it.

Not true. Apple will support the phone for any country it has been released in.

Right now that is only the US, UK, Germany and France.

Any other country trying to use the iPhone(aside from the French unlocked phone issues)is doing so with a hacked phone and will get no Apple support.

I live in Australia, my contacts mobile numbers all start with +61, I found on iPhone v 1.1.2 that the caller names appeared, but now on v1.1.3 they do not?? Land Lines still come up with caller name. Can't figure, doesn't appear to be a phone adjustable setting. HELP you want to know who's bugging you before you answer.
