iPhone pairing with Sony Ericsson

I am having dificulty pairing my iPhone with Sony Ericsson. When I switch the Bluetooth on my iPhone it just keeps on searching and not picking up any devices. I have also checked and my Sony Ericsson is visible. Is there any way I could overcome this issue?

I assume that you are talking about your headset - correct?

Have you turned your Ericsson off?

Have you set up the Bluetooth settings on the iPhone correctly?

If you are trying to pair with a Sony phone, it won't work. The iPhone's Bluetooth will only pair with a non-stereo headset. It won't connect to another phone, computer, PDA, etc. by design.

Sony Ericsson K800i mobile phone. So what is the best way to transfer my contacts to iPhone?

If you have your contacts in Outlook, Mac address book, Entourage, etc. Sync your phone with iTunes and sync your contacts from there.
