iPod Nano (2nd Generation) Screen Is Completely Blank

That's pretty strange! I have a similar problem, except mine wasn't dropped in the sink. Or any water, for that matter. It was messed with by a 3-year old. I pulled it away from her, all she was doing was pushing menu or something, but now it won't work! Can someone help me too? (It's under the topic by Gracie Loo)

Try plugging it into the computer while doing the reseting instructions. It worked for me!

But it won't work for me. Did it 3 times with no response. It will reset, but that's it. No improvement! You know how it shows the Apple logo when you reset? Well it even has the smae problem on the Apple logo! Oh, and Jelian, glad you got it to work. 🙂

Hi, it seems as if you are having the same problem with yours that I am having with mine. My screen is completely blank and my ipod doesnt turn on or anything not even when I hook it to the computer. I have reinstalled everything ad still nothing. I have toggled with it and still nothing and I am getting very annoyed lol. It doesnt even come up on itunes either. I havent dropped in water or anything. Last I knew the battery went dead and something about a corrupted file, while i tried charging it came up. It has worked fine and just today it stopped wowrking and I dont know what to do and hoping someone can help me out.

I'm having that same problem right now. My ipod will not come on anymore, it just has a blank screen. I haven't dropped it, and it has been sitting inside on my desk for about a week before now. I have no clue what happened.

yeah my ipods doing the same stupid thing! Nothing you guys have said will work for me! One day i was listenng to it and it just shut down i did nothing. It won't even show you the logo it will not come on at all!Please someone help me i can't figure it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same problem here! I was listening a few hours ago, there was nothing wrong, I didnt drop it or something, and now it just doesnt respond when I try to turn it on. I hooked it in my computer and nothing happened, and tried to reset but that didn't work either! I have this Ipod for exactly a year now..

I really hope someone knows whats wrong..

Yeh it just happened to me too. I'm so annoyed, I made an appointment at the Apple Store tomorrow to see whats wrong with it. Does anyone know, if they can't fix it do they replace it?

I was wondering if you ever got your problem finxed? I have exactly the same problem and nothing works. The ipod does not respond even to the power cord. The screen remains blank.

SERIOUSLY! has anyone got their ipod fixed and if yes- how? because im getting soo annoyed with mine! there should be a way that you can email apple or somthing to send you information on how to fix it! or atleast have it somewhere on the internet!

My god! it tired everything tiny little thing from the website my screen if just blank! and the batterie wasn't dead either i jsut left it in my backback for 5 hours and now is dead HELP!!!

Im having the same problem and nobody seems to be answering this question. I just had it in a pocket for a few hours and I try to turn it on and its blank. I tried everything suggested but still nothing.

Exact same problem here. This is ridiculous...I had used it about 4 hours before, left it in its docking station/stereo thing, and suddenly it won't do anything. It won't reset or appear in iTunes...I'm so annoyed right now. Somebody please help us!

Okay, I found another thread and worked on it. Mine is suddenly fine again somehow. I pressed the center button and then pressed the menu button 2 or 3 times. I just kinda fiddled with the two buttons, and the apple thing came on, and it seems fine now. I hope this works for the rest of you! Good luck.
