Song Missing from Bruce Springsteen's Magic Album

Hi,

I just found out that there is a hidden track called "Terry's Song" on Bruce Springsteen's latest CD, Magic. Here is an excerpt from a web site where the song is described:

"Music and lyrics by Bruce Springsteen, this song was released as a 12th hidden track on Bruce Springsteen's 2007 album, Magic. It is neither listed on the album's back cover nor on the disc itself or anywhere in the booklet. It follows the 11th track, DEVIL'S ARCADE, as the actual closer after a 10-second digital pause. The above lyrics are for the album's version."

I purchased this album using iTunes and burned it to CD and I don't get any hidden track on my iTunes purchase. Is there any way to get this hidden track from iTunes?

Forgive me if I have posted this to the wrong forum. Is there any way that I can inform Apple about this issue?

Its very possible that the statement only applied to the CD and not the digital version.

Hi, Ray.

The iTunes Store lists the running time for Devil's Arcade, the last song listed on Magic, as 9:31.

On the Magic CD, Devil's Arcade is 5:20. The unlisted Terry's Song - which is included in the CDDB information when you import the CD into iTunes - is 4:11. Total time for the two tracks is 9:31.

So presumably when you listen to the "final" track of your iTS purchase, you will hear Devil's Arcade, ten or so seconds of silence and then Terry's Song.

Thanks for the info. That is exactly what happened. Sometime after I purchased Magic from iTunes, they sent me an updated Devil's Arcade stating that there was a problem with my original iTunes purchase. Before I got that update, I had already burned Magic to CD with the shorter version of Devil's Arcade. I just listened to the updated version and it has "Terry's Song" a few seconds after Devil's Arcade ends. I'll re-burn Magic now. Again, thanks.
