erasing ipod

i am in the transition of getting an iphone and so i am going to sell the two ipods i have now in ebay and i need to know how to get all the music and things off the ipods i am selling, can anyone help me with this? thanks!

MacBook, Ipod Mini, Ipod Nano, Mac OS X (10.5.1)

Restore the iPods you are selling. Restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions and it should connect to iTunes and give you a prompt to automatically update your library onto the fresh installation. Choose no and it will default to manual mode and you can leave the iPod empty: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes 7
