Avid DNX-36 to Compressor
You guys may like this one.
To speed up my exports from the avid, I have networked it into the Xsan via Fiber Channel.
I export the avid Dnx-36 codec @1920x1080 24FPS.
I have installed the avid codec on 3 other computers set up with Q-master and Compressor.
When I export from the avid I save as a self contained file. The files are around 85GB.
I drop the avid file on a compressor droplet to kick out multiple versions of the file (MPG2 and H.264)
This adds an ID bug to the file for identification, and also adds timecode window burn.
I post eh H.264 to the web for approval.
I burn the mpeg2 file to disk using DVD Studio Pro.
These are long encodes, This frees up days of work for the avid every week.
