Adding or copying to CD/DVD with out closing the session

Hello

When I had a pc I could copy to a cd or dvd with out closing the session. I then could copy again to the same disk again. I would be able to remove the disk and go to another computer and and copy the files. On my Mac I have to actually burn the disk to use it and then can't add to it again.

Am i missing something or do I need third party software?

Thank You
Dcik

Hello

Thank you for the responses but I am not able to do a multi session yet. Below is the instructions I downloaded from the help

To create a multi-session CD, use the Disk Copy utility to create a disk image file from which the CD is burned. Follow these steps:

Drag the item or items you wish to burn into a folder.

1. (I can not find open disk copy anywhere)
2. (Where is the disk copy?)

Open Disk Copy (/Applications/Utilities/).
Drag the folder onto the Disk Copy window. The Image Folder dialog appears.
Choose a location for the image file using the Where pop-up menu. For simplicity, you may choose Desktop.
Click Save. Wait for the image to be finished.
Select Burn Image from the File menu. The image file should not be mounted.
In the navigation dialog that appears, select the image you just created, then click Burn. If you have not already inserted a blank disc, you will be prompted to do so now.
In the Burn Disc window, click the disclosure triangle.
Select the checkbox for "Allow additional burns".

Thank You
Dcik
