This error message keeps coming up whenever I try to purchase a song. It also comes up when I begin to connect to the store but it gives me the choice of continuing or not. If I continue it does everything just fine except purchases. I have not done anything different and the message just randomly came up one day. I can't find a way to fix this problem.

I was having the same problem and did a further search for (hopefully) a cure. I found the following posted back in January. I tried it and it worked. Hope it helps.

This may actually be - indirectly - a Windows problem - and I can't promise anything - however, access your brother's XP Windows computer(s), and:

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, click: Internet Options.
3. Click on the Advanced tab.
4. Under the Security section, look for Use SSL 3.0 and Use TLS 1.0.
Make sure at least one of those two checkboxes is selected and then click OK. (You can select both checkboxes). Quit Internet Explorer.

It is very possible after reading all these postings that iTunes Store is having major issues which could be why I can't even get to the iTunes store and continue getting the following error message:
" iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. The network connection was refused."
*Make sure your network settings are correct and your
network connection is active, then try again.

I've tried all of their Support ideas and nothing has worked. Anyone else agree they must be sorting out all the kinks that are currently ocurring.
