How do I check email on safari

I may be in the wrong forum, but I have a question that someone may be able to help me with. I have just installed Safari Beta on my computer, ( So much faster and better than IE7, I became aware of Safari via my iPhone ). In IE7, there is a [ Read Mail ] button, that connects me directly to OutLook Express to read my email. Is there a button/function/way to do this within Safari. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Oh I'm sorry. I was under the assumption that you were on OS X for some reason. Well for Windows I have always used Thunderbird and liked it. You can download that at mozilla.com/thunderbird. I apologize again for the mistake.

Thanks for the reply, I do have a GMail account, I completely forgot about that, as I very seldom use it. Presently, I have a ton of emails that would have to be changed, but it is a great idea, something to think about doing in the future. Thanks again.

If your considering GMail look into the GMail notifier. It is a handy gadget for mail. I have used the Mac version and really liked it. http://toolbar.google.com/gmail-helper/notifier_windows.html

Thunderbird is also an excellent mail program.

No you have to have an external mail program for reading mail. There is not one built into Safari.

OS X comes with a rock-solid email client called (imaginatively) Mail. You can find it in your Applications folder and can drag it to your Dock for quick access to it.

Get gMail from Google, it's free. Then you don't to have an external email program to view your email. All so you can view your email on any computer anywhere in the world.
