HP Beta Drivers: Deskjet F300, Officejet 4300, 5600, 6300, Pro L7300 Series

The next round (and hopefully last round) of beta drivers is available for download from HP.com. With any luck we will start releasing final installers (both for devices not yet updated, and ones that currently have beta's available) next week. There are no known issues with these installers. These should even fix the duplexing problems. If you are currently experiencing duplexing issues, please keep an eye on my FAQ thread and Duplexing thread for a way to get your device working if its not part of this group of devices.

With that being said, here are the new beta availabilities (and note you will not find these on HP.com yet, but they should be there once we work through the difficulties we are having):

[Officejet 6300 Series|http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/Mac/HP Installer_OJ6300v9.7beta.dmg]
[Officejet Pro L7300 Sereis|http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/Mac/HP Installer_OJPL7300v9.7beta.dmg]

Note that as I said, we are having some problems with our distribution system. These files may end up moving, but if they do I will make sure to update the links before they get taken down from the old locations.

Just trying to help (from Singapore currently).

Andrew

PS Obviously if you'd prefer to use FTP instead, just edit the link to be "ftp://" instead.

i've installed the beta for my office jet 5610 all in one...but I'm sometimes getting the same problem of sending it a print job and it just getting stuck in queue.

What would you have recommended for me to do before I installed the beta drivers? What sort of "colonic" should I have done to my printer settings beforehand? Would that make a difference?

and thank you for your help. You must feel what Moses felt: "yeah you {deliver innumerable products and updates}, but {what have you done for us lately}?"

Note, the files in the locations above will disappear soon. We have worked through the problems on our end and the files are moving to their new permanent locations. I've included the new locations here, but as always I recommend going to HP.com and finding the files that way (now that it is working again).

PS, anyone know how to edit a post when the edit button doesn't show up (which seems to be the case for me most of the time)?

Andrew, once you have finished with the beta and then final installers for these products, is HP going to fix the "final installers" for all the other AIO's that still don't work? Hopefully there will be a "final" final installer as my C7280 still will not work properly when connected to my network via WiFi.

This is extremely frustrating to have paid 400 Swiss Francs (about $370) for an AIO that currently I can only use as a basic printer. I could have bought a basic printer for a whole lot less!

Please keep us updated as to when the "real" final versions will be coming out. Thanks.

Hi Andrew

Thanks for all your efforts in helping people with their HP problems.

I have my AIO working at the moment, with a bit of help and advice form this forum.

The one issue I had was getting the full functions available when printing, the advice was not to repair permissions following installing updated drivers etc. This I did and got everything working.

I assume the final issue will resolve this matter once and for all?

Anyway thanks again.

Alicat
