can't resize activity window

hi, i haven't been able to find any other forums on this, so here it goes.
i opened the activity window and when i pressed the zoom button, the columns "Address" and "Status" got stretched as the entire window changed shape. however when i tried shrinking it to its previous size, i can't reduce the width of the columns, which is really inconvenient since i can't see what's going on and what's loading without clicking on the window and scrolling to the other side.

anybody else had this problem? is there some new way of doing this because of the Safari 3 upgrade?

Macbook (Black), Mac OS X (10.4.11), 2.16 GHz, 2 GB

Me too! - But I don't remember what I did to make the column(s) so wide.

I don't remember ,or see, a "zoom" button for the activity window.
Do you mean the green "+" window resizing button at the top-left of the window?
And yes, clicking the "+" or "-" resizing buttons do nothing to help.

Possibly something for a Safari bug request to Apple?

OK - I "think" I found the answer...

Quit Safari

Open your com.apple.safari.plist file, located at...

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.safari.plist

...using Pref Setter (freeware, available from http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/systemdiskutilities/prefsetter.html)

Select any items that start with "NSTableView" and end with "Activity Viewer Outline"

Go to Edit/Cut, or Command-X, to delete these items.

Save your changes, and Quit Pref Setter.

Open Safari, and try the Activity Viewer.

It "might" work fine now. It did the trick for me.
