A tiny red dot on my display

I recently purchase my new iMac (last Thursday). Today, I noticed a tiny red dot (I think one of the millions of dots that make up my display). Its in a fixed position. Does this mean that my screen is shot and have to take it in and wait who knows how long to be repaired? Is there something I can do?
(Incidently, I did use the cloth to wipe my screen...there is nothing on my screen to cause this)

Its most likely a stuck pixel. Unfortunately, this is a known issue with LCD displays, and manufacturers only give out warranties that cover clusters of dead pixels, or a given number of pixels in total, but rarely do they cover a single dead pixel. I'd recommend trying to take it back to Apple, but I wouldn't bet on them taking it back. Its just one of those things you chance with LCD displays. One thing some folks have found is to try to gently massage the area around the pixel to see if that helps.
