A tiny red dot on my display

Its most likely a stuck pixel. Unfortunately, this is a known issue with LCD displays, and manufacturers only give out warranties that cover clusters of dead pixels, or a given number of pixels in total, but rarely do they cover a single dead pixel. I'd recommend trying to take it back to Apple, but I wouldn't bet on them taking it back. Its just one of those things you chance with LCD displays. One thing some folks have found is to try to gently massage the area around the pixel to see if that helps.

Sometimes a light massage by a warm finger will wake up a sleeping pixel, if that is what it is.

I've read here at times that one dead pixel is not enough for replacement, but ymmv.

You might ask about the 14 day return policy.

Yeah, you might just return it "on second thought..." and not mention the dead pixel. Then repurchase another one...

I've had/have this problem as well with my LCD display and unfortunately I cannot "unstick" the stuck pixel, which is stuck on red by the way. I tried everything possible but to no avail. I would have to say we are in the same boat and stuck (as it were) with it.


p.s. even the previously posted jscreenfix.com was of no help.
