Iphone top half screen not working

You all will not believe this...I was trying to figure out a way to make a call without being able to use the top part of the screen to call Apple this morning regarding this problem. I was getting real frustrated but was having some luck. I added Apple's phone number to one of my contact list in my address book of one of my recent calls. This way I was able to just push the recents and then hit the the selected person with their number changed to Apple number.

Everything was great, call went through and as I was waiting on hold, I was able to hit Speaker. Then the phone still connected to the computer slipped off the table and hit the floor 2 feet up, Guess what...I lost the connection to Apple and...the screen cracked. I have no cell service.

Now what do I do?

Yes, I have found this out. Been doing some research and found some interesting things here about this seemingly growing problem. Check out this page I found. Wondering what the thoughts are?

iPhone is my only phone and cannot dial top numbers. Anything I can do until I can get to a real land line? Online contact?
