Another Preview annotation problem..

How do you DELETE an annotation or note? It is a PDF that I made, scanning in the documents and a note/annotation that i made...
Can't even find it in Preview help...
Can'T highlight it and hit delete, can't right click on it... grrrrrrrr...

I use Acrobat and am not very familiar with Preview.

Anyway, I added a note to a PDF, saved the file, then clicked on the note icon and hit delete. Don't know why it doesn't work for you (although I will admit I had to click on it more than once). I also had the "inspector" window open. Maybe that makes a difference?

Try checking the PDF privileges too (the "lock" icon in the inspector window).

i just tired it again and it didnt work. if i hit delete more than once, it deletes that particular page.
i like preview, but i may have to use acrobat for advanced stuff....

i CAN delete the yellow "stickie" window on the left, but i cant delete the note icon on the page itself...

Double click on the icon so that a gray box outlines the icon, then hit the delete key.

everytime i double click on a note, it just creates a NEW note over the existing one that i want to delete!

man this is strange.....
it makes this feature totally useless and it makes preview seem like a toy compared to acrobat reader

Be sure that you select the Text Tool (in toolbar or command-2) before double clicking

hahaha! thank you!
what a simple fix.
they should have just put that in the contextual menu though when you right click a note.....
not all that intuitive...

The way to edit annotations (other than the deletion mentioned here) is to display the sidebar in Preview, then, from the popup menu at the bottom of the sidebar, choose Annotations. You can then remove any annotations, or edit links (by checking Include Links).
