WAP on iphone??

Hi all,

I've got an iphone 1.1.2, using safari to surf with EDGE.
Safari displays html with no problems and some mobile sites fine as well,
however, when i try to get to a wap address, eg,
wap.xxx.html,
what i get is a written script/properties of the wap page and not the page itself.
Does anyone know how i might be able to view wap pages on e iphone?

thanks!

Iphone, NA

Hi,

AFAIK Mobile Safari does support WAP. That should be the reason why WAP-pages are not displayed properly.

The main reason is, that safari can not handle content or doctype of WAP WML... and even not the extension of WML.
Next, I think, that few WAP portals are aware of an iPhone useragent...

So you will have to contact the Portal-Provider, to fix this two issues...

Or install a local proxy (is there any?) where you can mofify the above values appropriatly.
