HP Laserjet 1012 -- suddenly stopped printing; gives cryptic message

I have an HP Laserjet 1012 hooked up to my iMac. The driver is already installed on the system, and there is no updated driver available from HP.

It's been performing wonderfully until today. Now, everytime I attempt to print, it just prints a page with the phrase "Unsupported Personality:PCL".

What does this mean? Any idea how to get it printing again?

24" iMac Intel Duo Core, Mac OS X (10.5.1), iPod Touch

It is running a Gutenprint driver, by the way.

Try removing the printer from the printer list, and re-establishing it.

I have to say, HP is notorious for terrible Mac support. There drivers, especially for scanners, is just plain horrible.

Unplug and re-plug your printer, that does the trick!!
