Battery Health at 58% < 18 mo. 3047/5200 mAh

It won't let me post a screenshot, but according to coconut battery, one of the best battery apps out there, my battery is worthless.
Current Battery Charge: 3033mAh
Maximum Battery Charge: 3047 mAh
*Current Battery Capacity: 3047 mAh*
*Original Battery Capacity: 5200 mAh*
*58% battery capacity*
Battery loadcycles: 5
Age of your Mac: 17 months
Charger connected: Yes
Battery is charging: Yes

What bugs me is I rarely even use the battery and not have it plugged in, only occasionally to school. As per Apple instructions, from time to time I powercycle it by letting it drain completely and then recharging it. Any suggestions?

This may be the problem. Explain with a little more detail. What do you mean not have it plugged in?

Are you just cycling it or doing an actual calibration? Do you do this every month or how often?

Have you done the battery update? About Battery Update 1.2. You can check you update bundle here.

MacBook/Library/System/Library/SystemConfiguration/BatteryUpdater.bundle

If you have done it or it doesn't help you should call APple at the number in the battery update. Apple has extended the core duo batteries warranty an extra year and one of the reasons for replacement is what yours is doing. So even if you don't have AppleCare you can get the battery serviced.
