How do i keep emails on my home computer and delete them from my iPhone?

I may be wrong about this, but from what I have read... If you delete an email from the iPhone you'll be deleting from your .mac email account. The email itself isn't directly downloaded to the phone. Your just using the phone to view the email from you .mail account.

The Phone is like a computer...If you go to another computer to view your emails. The computer doesn't know what emails to show you...so it shows you all email in your account that you haven't permanently deleted.

If your account lets you archive or make folders in your email account. Put the email you want to save in those folders. Then when you go to your inbox...it will only have new emails.

Go to Settings - Mail - Account - Advanced. Under Incoming Settings set the delete from server to never.
This should work fine for you.

It also depends on how your .Mac account is set up on your computer. If your .Mac email account on your computer is set up as an IMAP account, then all of your messages are stored on the server and are not downloaded to your computer. So deleting a message off your computer deletes the message off the server and no other devices will be able to access it.

On the iPhone, the .Mac email preset uses IMAP, so if you delete a message off the iPhone, it will delete the message off the server, preventing it from being retrieved by your computer.

If you are using IMAP, the contents of the folders are synced via the server. You iPhone only downloads and caches them on demand.

However, if you don't want them to show up in the Inbox on the iPhone, move them to a local folder on the computer. When you create Mailbox on the Mac it will ask if you want the mailbox on the server or "On My Mac".
