Does QT Pro help in viewing videos?

Does having QT Pro help any for viewing videos that play with regular QT 7.3.0? Or is QT Pro only for producing videos?

14" iBook G4, Mac OS X (10.4.10), 1.07GHz, 768 Ram, 40GB HD, Airport Express, Bluetooth.

The Pro upgrade does not add anything that is not found in the free Player version.
If the free Player can't open the file the Pro upgrade will have the same issue.
You can find out more about those that open but do not play correctly by using the Movie Inspector window. Search for and installing additional codecs will allow playback of some file formats.
