Griffin Evolve and iPhone

I just unpacked the Griffin Technology Evolve wireless speaker system. It isn't "Made for iPhone," so I get the not made for iPhone warning message, but it sounds great so far. I have left the iPhone in the doc for the last hour now with the speakers turned to the max. I have not heard the annoying radio interference yet. I've checked voicemail, sent messages, phone calls, etc. a

The remote works to advance tracks, go back tracks, change volume and power off the unit (which puts the iphone to sleep too).

The only annoying thing so far is when you change volume with the Evolve remote or the base unit volume buttons while music isn't playing it changes the ringer volume on the iPhone, not the iPod volume. However, I don't think that will be much of a hick-up for me.

You do hear the ringer of the iPhone through the speakers. Actually I heard the ringer through the speakers once, but another time I didn't. I'll have to test and see under what conditions each one happens. I'm hoping when an alarm goes off it will turn on the evolve and play through the speakers. We'll see.

There is no USB hookup for mac so you can sync your iPhone/iPod while connected to the Evolve base station.

Anyone else have any luck, tips or tricks on the Evolve system in use with the iPhone?

Anyone else have any other questions or functionality they would like me test?

I just have a couple questions, is the maximum volume very loud? I like to have it blasting really loud in my bonus room. Does it really work up to 150 feet? I have a pool and I would like to have a couple of speakers in my room and by the pool. How is the customer service like? Does the actual base that holds the iPod ( or iPhone in my case as well ) play music too? Are there speakers in that?

Thanks for the help!

The maximum volume is loud. VERY loud. Can't comment on the range of the things, since my apartment is not 150 feet long, but from what I can tell, 150 feet seems like it would work fine.

You can have multiple sets of speakers. In other words, if you wanted two speakers in your room and two by the pool, and you had the money to spare, you could buy a second Evolve, and then you just put all four speakers on the charging pads of the unit that is connected to your sound source one after another, and they will all "sync" with that base station and output its sound. Or, theoretically, friends could bring their speaker cubes over if you are having a party and you can put them all over your house. I think that's incredibly neat, but given the price I doubt I will ever have the luxury of trying it out.

No, there are no speakers in the base. The only sound comes from the two cubes.
