How do I delete multiple contacts?

Hi

Does anyone know how to delete all contacts from the iphone, as I want to sync my contacts with a different Yahoo account. I seem to only be able to manually go through and delete them one by one.

Frustrating!

Any help would be much appreciated

Connect to iTunes and go to the info tab, scroll all the way down, there will be options to select to replace info on the phone for contacts calendars mail accounts and bookmarks, tick the box for contacts and select to sync

Thanks. I did that and it only added the new contacts to the old ones!

Did you ever get a good answer on how to delete all of your contacts from your iphone? Mine just keeps adding to it even when I check to box to write over upon sync.

Hi,
This option works but need to ensure below points:
1) Sync the iPhone with Outlook on a different PC
2) Outlook on the new PC should not have contacts that needs to be deleted
3) Replace contacts on the device need to be selected before sync (scroll down in iTunes)

Above info seems helpful only with Contacts as they don't get deleted when you sync it back with your computer. Let me know if you have questions (quicker response if contactes at nanu_manju@yahoo.com).
